Chris Poulin, ATC, CSCS, PRT, TPI Medical 3

Postural Restoration Trained Certified Athletic Trainer and Performance Coach

 Chris Poulin is a certified athletic trainer and strength and conditioning specialist with over 20 years of experience. Chris is a Postural Restoration Trained (PRT) athletic trainer, one of the first in the country to earn this credential. He is also certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA), the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), and the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI).  His approach to athletic training and performance enhancement is based on the principles of postural restoration. This approach emphasizes the importance of understanding and addressing the body's natural asymmetries to improve performance and reduce the risk of injury. Chris has worked with a variety of athletes, from amateur to professional, in a variety of sports. He has also worked with individuals of all ages and abilities to improve their overall health and fitness. Chris also has been a consultant for several professional sports teams. He is a sought-after speaker and educator on the topic of postural restoration and athletic performance.


Kaleigh Munson, B.S. EXSC, CSCS, CPT, GFI

Performance Coach

Kaleigh Munson is an exercise physiology graduate and strength and conditioning coach with experience working with athletes and active individuals across many sports and fitness levels. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology from East Carolina University and is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Exercise Science at the University of Cincinnati. Kaleigh is an ACSM Certified Personal Trainer (CPT), ACE Group Fitness Instructor (GFI), and NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). Kaleigh’s approach to training is based on individualized programming, movement quality, and developing the physical qualities each person needs to reach their goals. She gained Division I strength and conditioning experience through ECU Athletics, where she worked with athletes in strength training, movement coaching, performance testing, and athletic development. She has also coached gymnastics and CrossFit, giving her experience working with athletes of all ages, sports, and abilities. Kaleigh works with middle school through collegiate athletes, helping them develop the strength, movement skills, and physical qualities needed to excel in their specific sports. She also works with active adults training for specific performance goals, physically demanding jobs, and other performance demands. Her approach emphasizes understanding each individual’s needs and creating purposeful training that supports both performance and long-term health. Originally from North Carolina, Kaleigh recently moved to the area with her husband and is excited to join the BreakThrough family and local community.


Sofia Nelson, B.S. EXSC, CPT

Performance Coach

Born and raised in Italy, Sofia moved to the United States in 2017 and has since built a life centered around family, education, and a passion for helping others move and feel their best. As a proud military spouse and mom of two boys, she returned to school while being a stay-at-home mom and earned her Bachelor of Science in Exercise & Sport Science from Methodist University in 2026. Sofia is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer with experience working with a wide range of clients at FirstHealth Fitness. Her training approach focuses on functional movement, strength training, balance and fall prevention, with an emphasis on helping clients build strength and confidence that carries over into everyday life. Continuing education is an important part of Sofia’s approach to training. She is currently studying Postural Restoration Institute (PRI) concepts and expanding her knowledge through mentorship with Chris Poulin, incorporating a deeper understanding of breathing, posture, movement patterns, and biomechanics into her development as a fitness professional. Outside of work, Sofia enjoys spending time with her husband and two boys, staying active, and continuing to learn about the human body and movement.
